The treatment is delivered via an intravenous (IV) injection, which gives a much quicker and more reliable result than taking oral supplements.

The treatment can particularly benefit people who have gastrointestinal disorders such as Crohn’s disease and cannot absorb nutrients through their gut. However, the direct infusion of vitamins into the bloodstream can benefit anyone, because only a certain percentage of oral supplements are absorbed rather than passing straight through the digestive tract.
